Afternoon snack with veg-sushi

Have some  stir fried slices of pumpkin and Chinese string beans (cannot find thinner strings than those!) with garlic and chili. Have some avocado of course (which i left softening rolled into paper bag, as my friend madhavi once advised) and some tasty hard cheddar cheese (which i accidentally found in discount at Park nd Shop today morning). Prepare the rice (which was left over from last night) by blending some sushi vinegar in it, let it sit in the fridge for a small while. Then enjoy the organization on the mini mat and the final roll-up. My knife wasn’t good: it came out quite rustic in shape 😀 nonetheless super duper delicious.

Omelette sushi

I think who invented sushi were very creative people who didnt waste time on ingredients and the steps of a recipe. They just rolled up what was available in a mini format easy to grab and bite, easy to digest and …totally delicious. Thats the reason why i am making sushi so often lately. Rice and nori never missing here, avocado idem, eggs idem: today for the first tiem i ventured in rolling a flat plane omelette on top of a rice layer on top of a laver sheet; the filling core is avocado plus crushed almonds. I served it with pappadamus, plane yogurt, spicy mango pickles, soy sauce, all of them in different little bowls. Enjoyed the lunch is saying  air.
