Feeling satisfied today with the making of these dumpling sheets. I was really inspired by Asiandumplingtips, the first blog listed in the new page ‘Great links’. Videos are so clear and inviting in that website and I could not refrain from giving a try. Success! Yesterday I made pan fried dumplings from store bought sheets and today I have 16 home made sheets sitting on the counter, plus another half dough to roll! Isn’t it great?
Planning to experiment even more and try other flours too. Here in Hong Kong at the street market they have lotus and arrowroot flours for example.
For this dough I used:
5 ounces wheat flour
4 ounces tapioca flour
2 Tsp grapessed oil
Boiling hot water
For a total of 32 sheets.
Dumpling is simply an art, a food art, so ancient and cool. Make dumplings for any sort of occasion, it s totally rewarding and creative!
